News: MXGP of Argentina

Kay de Wolf and Roan van de Moosdijk had never visited the spectacular circuit of Villa La Angostura. After watching the Grand Prix contingent hit the thrilling circuit in years gone by, the Nestaan Husqvarna Factory Racing duo were excited to tackle the Grand Prix of Patagonia-Argentina this past weekend. The event was round three of the 2022 FIM Motocross World Championship.

The Grand Prix of Patagonia-Argentina started in a great fashion for de Wolf, who was the fastest man on track at points in the qualification heat and eventually secured third. The first moto on Sunday was trending in a similar direction too; he ran third early on and looked great aboard his FC 250. A mistake at the halfway mark resulted in a hard crash that ruled him out of the Grand Prix, unfortunately, so no points were secured at the third stop on the calendar.

Unfortunately, the momentum that Roan van de Moosdijk earnt on day one of the Grand Prix of Patagonia-Argentina came grinding to a halt when he crashed out of the MX2 qualifying heat. Moosdijk will return to Europe and consult with specialists to determine the extent of the injuries that he sustained.

Nestaan Husqvarna Factory Racing will publish updates on both Kay de Wolf and Roan van de Moosdijk in due course.

Rasmus Jorgensen: “It was a difficult weekend for the team. The important thing now is getting the guys home. We will see the specialists later this week and then plan on how to get both riders back to their very best! We will be back.”
